Last week the world lost one a true legend in musician, artist and visionary David Bowie. The late rock icon’s influences reached all across the world of music, movies, literature and art.
Everyone from Mick Jagger to Bruce Springsteen to Iggy Pop to Arcade Fire have offered their tributes to Bowie who died at age 69 after an 18 month battle with cancer.
No matter which one of Bowie’s many different sounds or looks you liked best over the decades, the message was always the same. The Thin White Duke taught multiple generations that it was ok to be a little bit weird as long as you were true to yourself. Many awkward teenagers learned that the most comfortable place on Earth was their own skin because of the music and art of David Bowie.
We like to think Bowie’s spirit is part of Chicago Waffles as we too like to keep things fresh and new. Our menu offers something for everyone’s taste no matter if you like waffles or pancakes or just want a great burger!
